LoRaWAN

Long-range, low-power wireless sensor networks for industrial monitoring. Battery-powered sensors with 5+ year life and up to 10km range — no wiring required.

How Flowstate Connects

LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) uses sub-GHz frequencies to deliver deep indoor penetration and multi-kilometer range. Flowstate deploys a RAK7289V2 WisGate Edge Pro gateway per site, PoE-powered from the hub enclosure. Sensor data flows through the gateway to the site hub via MQTT, then into the Unified Namespace as Sparkplug B messages.

  1. 1Deploy a LoRaWAN gateway at your site (included in subscription)
  2. 2Register sensors to The Things Stack (we handle provisioning)
  3. 3Data flows gateway -> edge node -> MQTT -> Sparkplug B -> cloud
  4. 4Sensors are battery-powered — no wiring, no electrician needed
