What You Need

Grundfos CIM 500 module
Cat6 Ethernet cableIncluded in kit
Flowstate CL260 edge nodeIncluded in kit

Customer provides:

  • CIM 500 module (or we can procure)
  • Network access

Physical Connection

  1. 1

    Install CIM 500 module

Slide the CIM 500 communication module into the Grundfos pump controller's CIM slot. The module clicks into place.

CIM 500 is compatible with Grundfos E-pumps, CR, CRE, TP/TPE, NB/NBE, and other series with a CIM slot.

  2. 2

    Connect Ethernet

Connect a Cat6 cable from the CIM 500 RJ45 port to the Flowstate edge node.

  3. 3

    Set IP address

Use Grundfos GO Remote app or the pump controller display to set a static IP in the 10.0.100.x range.

Machine Configuration

  1. 1

    Enable Modbus TCP

Via the pump controller or GO Remote app: Communication > Protocol > Modbus TCP. Set Unit ID (default 1).

  2. 2

    Configure register map

CIM 500 exposes standard Grundfos registers. Flow rate (register 200), pressure (202), power (206), runtime hours (210).

Verification

  1. 1

    Test Modbus connection

From the edge node, read register 200 using modpoll or the Flowstate diagnostics tool. Verify flow rate reading.

  2. 2

    Dashboard check

Pump appears in Flowstate within 60 seconds with flow, pressure, and power metrics.

Available Metrics (8)

Flow rate (m3/h)
Differential pressure (bar)
Power consumption (kW)
Runtime hours
Motor speed (RPM)
Pump status (run/stop/fault)
Bearing temperature (C)
Energy consumption (kWh)
