What You Need

Cat6 Ethernet cableIncluded in kit
Flowstate CL260 edge nodeIncluded in kit
Anybus gateway (for RS-485 systems only)

Customer provides:

  • EZLogic wiring diagram
  • Network access

Physical Connection

  1. 1

    Locate EZLogic controller

The EZLogic controller is mounted on the conveyor frame, typically near the drive end. Find the Ethernet module (if installed) or the RS-485 daisy chain.

  2. 2

    Connect Ethernet

If an EtherNet/IP module is installed, connect Cat6 from the module to the Flowstate edge node. Otherwise, use the zone controller's RS-485 bus with an Ethernet gateway.

Older EZLogic systems are RS-485 only and need a protocol gateway (e.g., Anybus CompactCom).

  3. 3

    Set IP address

Set the module's IP via DIP switches or web interface. Use 10.0.100.x range.

Machine Configuration

  1. 1

    Enable zone reporting

Configure each EZLogic zone controller to report status (occupied/clear/jam/sleep) to the Ethernet module.

  2. 2

    Set throughput counting

If photo-eye sensors are installed, configure them to increment a counter per zone for throughput tracking.

Verification

  1. 1

    Scan zones

From the Flowstate diagnostics, run an EtherNet/IP scan. Each zone should appear with status data.

  2. 2

    Dashboard check

Conveyor zones appear in Flowstate with status, jam alerts, and throughput counts.

Available Metrics (6)

Jam detection count
Throughput (items/hr)
Zone motor current (A)
Belt runtime hours
Sleep mode status
