What You Need

Physical Connection

Locate the Pro6 control Ethernet port
The Makino a61nx uses a Pro6 control (or Professional 6 control) with an Ethernet port on the rear. Some machines have a dedicated network cabinet.

Connect to edge node
Cat6 from the Pro6 Ethernet port to the Flowstate edge node. Assign a static IP.

Install ProNetConnect
Makino's ProNetConnect software runs on the Pro6 control and provides an MTConnect adapter. Contact Makino for installation if not pre-installed.
ProNetConnect may require a license activation from Makino. Verify with your Makino distributor.

Verify MTConnect port
Default MTConnect port is 7878 on Makino (differs from Haas/Fanuc port 5000). Verify in the ProNetConnect configuration.
Verification

Check MTConnect stream
Browse to http://<machine-ip>:7878/current. Verify spindle speed, axis positions, and program state are streaming.
