What You Need
Customer provides:
- Mazak SmartBox (or we can procure)
- Network access

Install Mazak SmartBox
Connect the SmartBox between the machine's internal network and the plant network. SmartBox translates Mazak proprietary protocol to MTConnect.
SmartBox is required for older MAZATROL controls. Newer SmoothAi controls have built-in MTConnect.

Connect to edge node
Ethernet from SmartBox to Flowstate edge node.

Configure IP
Set SmartBox IP in the 10.0.100.x range via its web interface.
Machine Configuration

Enable data output
On MAZATROL control: Setup > Communication > Enable MTConnect output.

Verify SmartBox connection
SmartBox LED should show solid green when connected to machine.

Check MTConnect XML
Browse to SmartBox IP:5000/current to verify data.

Machine appears in Flowstate.
